RESUMO
O presente trabalho, visa discutir a importância do Jardim Botânico e a Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Inhotim, no estado de MG, inserindo no contexto do Quadrilátero Ferrífero e discute impactos nas adjacências. Circundada por inúmeras mineradoras na Serra da Bocaina (Serra das Farofas), Inhotim é um oásis que comunga arte e ecologia. Neste contexto, é indispensável, portanto, que o território do Quadrilátero Ferrífero seja repensado e reconfigurado na perspectiva teórica da ecologia, da geografia e da história compreendendo-o como um todo sistémico, integrado e interdisciplinar, e entendendo-o como um conjunto .nico de mosaicos: um mosaico de paisagens de biodiversidade e endemismo; um mosaico de paisagens geopolíticas; um mosaico de memória e oralidade. Assim faz-se necessário o tombamento nos níveis municipal, estadual e federal para garantir a integridade dos ecossistemas presentes no museu, bem como ofertar uma visitação turística que comungue arte e ecologia. O propósito principal é explorar o cenário de riscos da mineração nas áreas ao redor do Museu de Arte Contemporânea Inhotim. Os objetivos específicos incluem 1) mostrar a interação entre arte e meio ambiente na região oeste do Quadrilátero Ferrífero; 2) descrever rapidamente as complexidades do hist.rico embate entre a minera..o e a comunidade; 3) relembrar um evento significativo na história de Brumadinho, ocorrido em 25 de janeiro de 2019. Através da análise do histórico conflito minerário nas paisagens adjacentes ao Museu de Arte Contemporânea Inhotim visualiza-se e materializa-se no tempo e no espaço, um panorama de ameaças entre ecologia e mineração no vetor oeste do Quadrilátero Ferrífero – MG: (Brumadinho-MG).

ABSTRACT
The present work aims to discuss the importance of the Botanical Garden and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Inhotim, in the state of MG, inserting it in the context of the Iron Quadrangle and discusses impacts on the surroundings. Surrounded by numerous mining companies in the Serra da Bocaina (Serra das Farofas), Inhotim is an oasis that combines art and ecology. In this context, it is indispensable, therefore, that the territory of the Iron Quadrangle be rethought and reconfigured from the theoretical perspective of ecology, geography and history, understanding it as a systemic, integrated and interdisciplinary whole, and understanding it as a single set of mosaics: a mosaic of landscapes of biodiversity and endemism; a mosaic of geopolitical landscapes; A mosaic of memory and orality. Thus, it is necessary to list it at the municipal, state and federal levels to ensure the integrity of the ecosystems present in the museum, as well as to offer tourist visitation that communes art and ecology. The main purposeis to explore the scenario of mining risks in the areas around the Inhotim Museum of Contemporary Art. Specific objectives include 1) showing the interaction between art and the environment in the western region of the Iron Quadrangle; 2) briefly describe the complexities of the historical clash between mining and the community; 3) remember a significant event in the history of Brumadinho, which occurred on January 25, 2019. Through the analysis of the historical mining conflict in the landscapes adjacent to the Inhotim Museum of Contemporary Art, a panorama of threats between ecology and mining in the western vector of the Iron Quadrangle – MG is visualized and materialized in time and space: (Brumadinho-MG).
